We are back in Wisconsin for the summer and it is such a lovely shade of GREEN. That’s the color I miss in Florida-it’s a green state too, but not the WI shade. Anyway, Jerry has the garden and lawn looking great and I think I have re-acquainted myself with where things are in the house. Always a bit of a shock when you go to the wrong cupboard.
The last four days of April were spent in Alexandria, VA with great friends attending the Creative Summit at Artistic Artifacts. If you have an opportunity to visit that shop, DO IT! They have the best assortment of just about anything for crafters or artists.
The class was Storyteller Bags by Julie Booth. I’ll include a picture or two of her work as well as mine. It will take a while to finish but will be gorgeous when done. A true work of art covered in stitching, beads, sequins and vintage buttons. Her bag is red! The blue pics are my bag in process.
Of course, I had to attach a lighthouse charm. Consistent as always with my books about the lighthouse in Door County that I love.
Next post will cover the Lakefly Book Fair I attended on May 3rd. Lots of pictures to share plus I have turned the first 15 chapters of Book 3 over to my team of ‘readers’ for feedback. I will share an update on that next post.
