Early morning drive from Clearwater to Tampa Intl. airport. Nice Uber driver full of conversation and here I am. Just hanging out waiting for my flight to LaGuardia and then on to Washington. Attending an embroidery class in Alexandria, VA with two fellow stitchers and then home from there to Oshkosh.
It’s been a good winter in Florida. I have had two book signings. Met quite a lovely group of readers and sold some books. Spoke twice at the Tampa Quiltworks guild. Helped at the Procrastinating Quilt guild’s quilt show.
And made a quilt top, finished my collage Flamingo wall-hanging, made two bags, completed one embroidery class with Rebecca Devaney of Textile Tours of Paris, completed one hand appliqué class with Ritu Haldar, and hand stitched three poems on vintage French linen towels with Rebecca Devaney. WOW. I’m surprised my fingers aren’t sore.
Plus I am now up to 12,000 words on book 3. Actually getting some words down now as I know the weekend of stitching will consume me.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m pretty sure I will and then HOME!
